Dear Friends,
The China-Israel economic
relation is one of China’s
most important relations
with foreign countries.
Since the two sides
established diplomatic
relations in 1992, great
progress has been made
in bilateral trade. In 2014,
trade between China and
Israel reached $10.88
billion, 200 times of that in
1992. China is now Israel’s second largest trade partner
in the world, and the first in Asia. In the $10.88 billion,
$7.74 billion is import by Israel from China. There is
no denying that import from China has a far-reaching
influence on Israel’s economy and society. Minerals,
chemicals from China are important raw materials for
design, manufacture and process in Israel. Consumption
goods, more often referred to as made-in-China, provide
more choices for Israeli people. To some extent, made-
in-China helps lower the price and therefore improves
people’s livelihood.
FICC have been devoted to China-Israel trade for many
years. I am glad that they are going to publish the Guide
and share their experience with Israeli importers. I hope
that through this Guide, Israeli businessmen could have
a better understanding of the market in China and find
more opportunities with their Chinese partners.
