Cryoablation for Breast Cancer Cryoablation offers women with certain types of early- stage breast cancer a minimally invasive, in-office treatment that lasts about an hour with superior cosmetic results. These types of cryoablation treatments are generally performed under CT (Computed Tomography) guidancewith light sedation and patients can usually go home the same day. Compared to other cryoablation systems that useArgon gas andmultiple cryoprobes, ProSense ™ utilizes liquid nitrogen (a superior coolant), and a single cryoprobe. The cryoprobe can be relocated up to 3 times to create large ice balls or treat multiple areas with better cost- effectiveness.
