Business Guide | Israel-India 2022

Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin Chandrajit Banerjee Dear Readers,  I srael and Indiamarks 30 years of diplomatic relations, as economic and technological ties between them steadily tighten. During this period, Israel and India have become close trade partners as the two economies complemented each other while producing a mutual synergy of investment, joint R&D, exports and imports. Israel's trade relations with India aremost significant. In fact, India is one of Israel's main trading partners and one of the tenmost important export destinations. When we look at the Indian economy, we observe a diverse and vibrant economy, that encompassesmany areas - large-scale agriculture, traditional industries alongside highly developed high-tech and biotech industries and a thriving and blooming services sector. India enjoys growing local demand and a young population, which spurs the economy and expands the middle class. The processes of urbanization and innovation in the country have increased the volume of private consumptionandacceleratedeconomic activity. In light of all of this, I truly believe that there is great potential that is yet to be explored by both business communities. Both countries benefit from young and professional human capital and enjoy a spirit of innovation. When combining all these elements, we, at the Israel Export Institute, expect the trade relations to be considerably enhanced. We are happy to take part and support the Israel-India BusinessGuide 2022 . We hope it will help expand your acquaintance and understanding of the business opportunities that lay ahead.
