> Greetings >

Ambassador of Israel to India

Israel-India

> Business Guide >

2017

Dear Readers,

W

elcome to theworldof opportunities

between India and Israel, as we

celebrate 25 years of Growing

Partnership between the two countries.This

is a most auspicious time for Israeli businesses

and ventures to forge ties with the expanding

Indianmarket,joining us in strengthening the

bond between the Indian and Israeli people.

India and Israel are natural partners, both ancient

peoples with vibrant democracies,proud of

their history and heritage and eager to grasp

the future.Our economies,though different

in size,scale and scope,are a perfect match.

They do not compete, but rather complete one

another.Israel’s technological solutions and

fruitful Start-Up scene can find partners in India

to help take Israeli innovation to the next level.

India shares many of the challenges Israel has

faced over the years. As we found solutions

to our water shortages, improved our crops

through R&D,developedmedical advancements,

invented new systems in communications,

defense and IoT, Israel essentially became

a “Development Laboratory” for the world.

India, one of the most rapidly developing

countries in our modern era, has adopted

many Israeli solutions to shared challenges,

adapting it to India’s specifications.

Now looking to the future together, India

and Israel can step forward and build on

the strengths of each country respectively,

and the strength of joint collaboration.

Quoting President Rivlin during his visit to

India in November 2016,“Israel is committed

to Make in India,MakeWith India… together

we canmake magic”. As the Israeli and Indian

business sectors converge,the ties between

India and Israel surpass governmental ties

and transform into a relationship between

people. Only thus, our Growing Partnership

with India can remain sustainable and continue

to benefit our both our peoples.

I wish you the best of luck in your present

and future endeavors, and welcome once

again to the India-Israel Growing Partnership.
