For years,we sawwestern companies investing in Israel,opening R&D centers and developing the world’s leading technologies.The last few years have brought with them an exciting newwave of opportunities,as more and more Japanese companies have turned their spotlight on Israeli companies and their technologies, backed by the governments of Israel and Japan, which have been working together to create the infrastructure to support this new era of relations. During the last two years, we have signed a first-of-its-kind investment agreement, established the Japan Israel Innovation Network (JIIN), and conducted high-level official visits, including the second visit of Prime Minister Abe to Israel in May 2018. The two countries are natural partners,as they have complementing economies – Japanese companies excel at producing the world's most advanced,well-rounded product, and Israeli companies provide the groundbreaking solutions that could propel any product to the next level. A perfect match. I believe that there is tremendous potential in this synergy. If we work together, we can change the world.
