The articles in the current issue deal with a range of spheres:

working with girls in distress, leisure as a second chance, the voice

of young women who are defined as “lacking family support,”

online culture, career education, and volunteerism. Yet, they

all illuminate various aspects of the connection between work

perceptions and developing solutions. The discourse that joins

theory with practice is an important platform that raises questions

and repeatedly examines the world of professional concepts and

their influence on the discourse with children, adolescents and

young adults. Our work can only be improved if we encourage

asking questions, such as; what is a situation at risk, what guides

and what promotes; what brings populations out of situations of

distress; how can we assure a constant improvement of outcomes

of the populations with which we work; how can we promote a

more beneficial society; and what preconceived work assumptions

do professionals have?
