I ndian employees wishing to work in Israel can obtain a work visa as an "expert" or in other fields such as Industry. To qualify for an expert visa, the primary requirement is a gross salary exceeding double the average salary in Israel, updated annually and currently at approximately USD 6 , 400 . Experts from India work in various industries, including IT, pharmaceuticals, management, diamonds, communication, software, FinTech, and more. The process begins with the employer submitting a work permit request to Israel's Population Authority, including supporting references tailored to the candidate's professional background. Upon approval, the employee must undergo a Consular procedure at the Israeli Embassy in Delhi or the Consulate in Mumbai. This process is facilitated through a Visa Application Centre (VAC) to streamline the process. Applicants must submit the required documents to VAC, which reviews the application and forwards it to the Consulate. The Consulate may issue the work visa, deny it, or request an interview for additional information before reaching a decision. Notably, if the employee doesn't enter Israel within 30 days of visa issuance, the Consular process will have to be restarted.
