Dear Readers,
The office of the Consulate General of Israel in Bangalore was opened
less than one and a half years ago. However, within this short span,
we have received a large number of queries from interested Indian
companies about the sectors ofMedicalTechnology, Pharmaceuticals
and Biotechnology.
We provide all required information and support to all those Indian
businesspeople and companies who express an interest in Israel. We
are indeed encouraged by the increasing interest in collaborations
with Israeli companies. The southern States of India have played a
central role not only in research and development and in product
development in Life Sciences and Biotechnology in particular, but
also as vibrant markets for joint Indo-Israeli initiatives. We encourage
them to visit Israel and see for themselves the progress made in
these fields with a view to increased cooperation and collaborations.
The office of the Consulate General of Israel in Bangalore will provide you all support in your endeavors.
There is also huge scope for cooperation in R&D and the Israel-India Joint R&D Fund will come into
play here. Beyond that, we will encourage our companies to engage in joint ventures and strategic
partnerships with like-minded companies in India, as well as promoting mutual investments in both
countries. We encourage companies to review the incentives being offered and take advantage of
them. We are convinced that Israeli and Indian companies have a lot to offer each other, join hands and
enter new markets together.
We welcome the publication of the Israel-India Business Guide – Medical Technology, Pharma & Biotech
2014 by the publishers – Paprika Productions Ltd of Israel and Abraham Yehuda & Associates in India.
This will be their sixth publication and we congratulate them on their success. We will surely make it
a point to circulate the publication to all in our database in these sectors and use copies at relevant
events and during visits by delegations from India in these fields.
