Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry &
Agriculture (MACCIA)
is the Apex Chamber of the State,
founded in 1927 by the great Visionary Industrialist Late
Seth Walchand Hirachand. The Chamber plays a pivotal
role in supplementing and augmenting the efforts of
Government for the economic development of the State
and advancement of its people. With more than 3500
direct members, comprising large, medium and small-
scale industries, traders, agriculturist and professionals,
MACCIA is the only Chamber in Maharashtra, which has
deep roots in all 35 districts encompassing 355 Talukas of
Maharashtra. In addition over 800 local trade and industry
associations and professional bodies having collective
membership over 700,000 business organisations from
all over the state are affiliated to the chamber.
As an apex Chamber of the State, it’s our
Vision
to
facilitate progress in all sectors for sustainable prosperity
through collaborative efforts, knowledge based skills,
modern technology and ethical means.
Chamber’s Objectives:-
• To understand the problems of Traders, Farmers and
Small Scale Industries and work out effective solutions
with the help of State Government.
• To promote, develop and enhance Trade, Commerce,
Industry and Agriculture in Maharashtra.
• To establish reactions with the Business Community
and various Chambers of Commerce at State, National
and International level.
The Chamber engages in many important activities
in various sectors such as
Port, Water, Tourism,
Agriculture & Solid waste management
etc. at the
urban, semi-urbanand rural level. Chamber hasorganized
and hosted amongst many others, events of prime
significance to Maharashtra such as

Ports of Maharashtra

Water Recycling & Sanitation

MACCIA has representation on various Central, State,
Statutory & Public Bodies like Central Excise Advisory
Committee, State Advisory Board for Food & Drug
Administration, Konkan Railway Divisional Advisory
Committee, State VAT Advisory Committee.
