Ministry of Education (Psychological Services department [SHEFI]).

At the same time, Ashalim, in cooperation with The Ministry of Labor,

Social Welfare and Social Services, is developing solutions for families

experiencing loss, bereavement and crisis. These solutions rely on

the principles of spiritual support and guidance, rights advocacy and

reinforcement of family and community cycles.

Unfortunately, phenomena such as loss, crisis and trauma are an integral

part of our world – on the personal, professional and social levels. For

this reason, and in order to offer relief, as slight as it may be, to individual

and social institutions who deal with such situations, Ashalim continues

to promote the processes of knowledge development and to rely on its

accumulated and perennial professional experience in these areas.

I believe that the collection of articles and personal quest stories brought

forth in this issue can continue to assist in the development of directions

of thought and action for professionals working directly with the target

populations and within service systems on the community and national

level.
